The Challenge

To bring together and improve their relationship with key distributors and resellers, ASUS wanted an eCommerce site added on top of their existing website.

Their aim was to allow al B2B2C tracking, sales, and fulfillment to go directly through the new webstore to serve their Employee Purchase Program.

The Solution

In order to enable the B2B2C retail model that ASUS desired, we chose Magento 2. It was the most powerful platform available, capable of unifying B2B, B2C and advanced eCommerce features into one site.

We used Magento Commerce’s readymade B2B features and powerful tools to enable ASUS’s B2B sales and promotion strategies for corporate accounts.

In terms of its relation to the multiple ASUS resellers and distributors, the Magento eCommerce system was integrated with their partners’ ERP systems to create harmonious data sync in real time.

Going Further

When ASUS united their B2B and B2C sales across their online and offline channels, it was just the start of a brand new way of connecting with their customers to give them the best service possible, and the one they most needed. There was just one problem: this kind of Omnichannel customer personalization requires lots of data about each consumer from lots of different sources.

The solution was to use a Customer Data Platform, or CDP. A CDP is a type of data management software that acts as a central terminal to take in data from disparate sources, and then segregate it according to each individual to give a 360-degree view of every single person.

ASUS Singapore wanted to bring together and improve their relationship with key distributors in the region. The plan to achieve this was to allow all B2B tracking, sales, and fulfillment directly through the new webstore while serving the B2C market simultaneously.

“The current ASUS website is the best place to explore our wide range of products. Adding the ecommerce site will deliver a more convenient and immediate shopping solution in addition to all our branded stores and authorised retailers. Hosting our own ecommerce site also aligns with our ongoing effort in providing our customers a seamless O2O shopping experience and an attractive rewards program.”
